The lunetterie project began in 2000 when a commercial triplex became available in a real estate complex with architectural characteristics typical of the 1800’s.
This building constructed in 1888 was known as the “Barsalou Block”, so named for Joseph Barsalou who manufactured the famous Barsalou soap in his factory just a little further to the east.
A major ground up renovation was called for.
In February 2001, the Lunetterie opened in a cordial local which respected the unique architecture of the building.
